For the next few years, I expect to continue not having enough time for updating this blog with quality posts. My job and my wife are my life. In a few years I may re-start a blog/website, if I decide to enter the political arena as one seeking office. Who knows? If so... it'd probably more than a few years from now... Right now: too poor, too tired, too young looking.

Unless Rob wishes to continue using this blog as a springboard, or some viewers wish for more time to read through his archived posts, I will delete this great blog. If you wish for more time, please reply to this post within a week.

"The March 2004 accident killed Edward Armstrong III, 32; his wife, Melissa Renee Armstrong, 26; and his two children, Edward Dean IV, 6, and Brittany Nicole, 10."

The illegal truck driver was sentenced to a slim 4 years in prison. I suppose some families just aren't worth much.

That NSA domestic phone records database is really irritating. It's amazing what two faced liars the democrats are... they knew about this program before it was implemented and are only now complaining, after it became public. They want this power just as much as the fake republicans, but won't admit it at the present time because it's useful to damage El Presidente Bush.

What bothers me most is how sneakiness of this ramp-up of gov power. If they can get the public to swallow this, we're screwed. In a few years, when the Islamic bastards start blowing up over here, they'll claim "for national security", and add a single BLOB field to a single table in that database, which will then save the contents of every phone conversation. Easy as pie. This database is a total setup for the future, so that everyone can be more easily monitored and controlled.

Is the quote from Bush a lie?
"We're not mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans."

If you said no, then you win the Clintonion prize of Public Deception. According to Bush, the definition of "phone records" does not match up with the definition of "personal lives". Thus, he has simultaneously NOT lied, and successfully fooled the greater part of the population.

I've been busy with school, life, and frankly, I have given up on politics. I guess it was a conclusion a long time coming. Shortly after the 2004 election I revoked my Republican membership and joined the growing masses of homeless conservatives. I have lost all faith in the president I voted for. El Presidente Bush is not the president of the US--instead, he's a co-president with Vicente Fox of Mexico. El Presidente Bush has refused to enforce our immigration laws and border...he, like the traitorous Democrats, see the flood of uneducated and low-skilled illegals crossing in from Mexico as a new pool of useful idiots. How sad. The illegals are illegal and thus should be subject to justice...not amnesty. Would El Presidente Bush treat burglars into his own home with the same love and care as he treats the illegal aliens? Of course he wouldn't. So why treat illegals with such TLC? You know the answer: Follow the money. Or, in the case of politics, follow the money and votes.

Honestly, I hope Bush is impeached. I hope he is impeached for failing to fulfill the duties of the Executive concerning US sovereignty. I don't wish him to be impeached over pre-war intelligence. He did the right thing about Iraq. There's no doubt about it. Now, I hope he does the right thing against Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. It's time all of those nations face the consequences of their support for international Islamic terror and illicit arms smuggling (not to mention state-sponsored mass starvation in the case of North Korea).

The Republican Party is not a party of conservatives any longer. It's become the party of do-nothing moderates. I hope they implode. I'm not worried the traitorous Democrats will take over...they haven't offered anything that would make them electable. I hope to see some real Americans, real conservatives, real constitutionalists come out of the shadows and make a good showing in this year's elections.

I don't think I'll post here any longer. I just don't feel motivated to do so any longer. Will may or may not continue to post, it's totally his choice. I won't delete the blog as I use it as a springboard to the fine blogs listed in the sidebar.

Before I sign off, I do want to leave you with a predition that I am 100% certain of: The war between the US and China will happen before 2020. It will happen. There is no such thing as the peaceful rise of China. USA vs. China: one must fall. The US will fall if we have a limp-wristed Democrat as the president along the lines of Kerry.

Well, I'm off. I'm going to pursue my life and seek the enrichment of the individual: Me. It's been fun and frustrating running this blog for the last two years. Take care and goodbye.

Anti-weapon Policy

BTW, in case you were wondering about Rob's whereabouts... he has been extremely busy with college classes. I've just been buried in work and studying for computer certifications, and it's only getting deeper. From the length of my latest post, you can tell I'm taking a few hours break to vent.

The company I work for has just added a "No-weapons" policy to it's HR documentation. It wasn't very well thought out, because it even prohibits possession of weapons in the parking lot. That means even in vehicles. I have sent my formal objection in email to management.

Here is a summery of my opinion in regards with the new policy.

1. If someone wanted to do damage, they would bring a weapon regardless of policy.
2. A no-weapons policy is an advertisement for criminals.
3. The 2nd amendment allows for transportation in vehicles. Not allowing weapons in the parking lot would disallow an employee’s rights on the public road to and from work. There is potential here for “rights” lawsuits.
4. The company gains NO protection from lawsuits, while withdrawing employee’s choice in defense (short of resigning).
5. If the situation posed in #1 were to occur, a lawsuit based on #3 would be hard to avoid, because adequate defense would be virtually impossible due to company policy.
6. Are employer's property rights more important than the employees' life interest and liberty?
7. 'Tis better to have a gun handy in one's car in the parking lot than to have it many miles away. A business shooting may very well go on long enough for someone to escape, fetch arms, and return to stop; it has happened before. Would you rather the victims be entirely disarmed and unable to respond?

Although there are counterpoints to many of these opinions, I believe that the policy should be modified to at least allow weapons storage in employee’s vehicles. An alternate conditional policy for possession could be the requirement of a “Concealed Carry Permit”, aka CCW (or “Handgun Carry Permit”) as it’s called in Tennessee; along with explicit case-by-case written permission from management.

I sincerely hope that they revise the policy. I can handle the disallowment of weapons in the office, but the parking lot is where I draw the line. If the policy is not changed to allow storage of weapons in employee vehicles, I will likely start looking for work elsewhere. My loyalty has its limits.

...for you will not simply vanish into atheistic dust. Unfortunately, I do not agree with Rob's post about leftists breading themselves out of existence. The evil in modern society seems to be corrupting those who normally would be good, at a faster rate than leftists can kill themselves or than conservatives can reproduce.

That being said, it's been almost a month since a post has been made, and I'd be surprised if viewership hasn't dropped off somewhat because of this. No matter, today I finally feel compelled to spill out miscellaneous ramblings. Never in my life have I felt this... hopeless about the state of our Union. No longer do I believe that this "capitalistic" democracy is capable of healing itself. The deck is stacked too heavily against the best interests of the American people. The media does not support us. A super majority of our government does not support us. Our educational institutions do not support us. American corporations do not support us. Walmart does not support us (yes, it gets it's own line). The United Nations does not support us. So, pretty nearly the entire world does not support us.

Most of my gripes today would focus on issues like the border, or ports (yeah, the media already forgot about that). However, these topics have been talked about in great length by so many other patriots, that I have nothing further of value to add to the discussion.

What might be more interesting is a logical focus on the great "why". Why does Bush do what he does? Usually when reading a critical article or "news" announcement, it's wise to be cautious to observe possible reasons why an entity would put forth the effort to communicate to the public. It matters little if the article agrees with your current views or not. The exercise is healthy, and is a moderate guard against deception or betrayal.

So...

1. Why is Bush not fulfilling his oath to uphold the constitution and protect our borders?
This was the issue that nearly kept me from voting for Bush in 2004. Somehow, I guess I hoped that he'd never get around to pushing for his amnesty-worker program. It is depressing that both Bush and congress choose to NOT follow the will of over 70% of LEGAL tax paying Americans. Hell, better make sure to enforce those speed limits... who cares about why that OTM is here in America. Hypocrisy is a pet peeve of mine. This leaves me with only enough respect for the law to keep myself out of trouble. Defensive driving to avoid cops... defensive medicine to avoid lawsuits... defensive interaction with women to avoid sex charges... It's definitely a CYA society nowadays. Anyway, it's obvious that the politicians now deem themselves more powerful than the vote. I wonder if sometime soon, some will simply refuse to accept defeat and step down? Already, politicians have started resorting to legal suits when they lose. Anyway, I'm rambling well off the topic... In summary, our economic security and physical security concerns are being completely disregarded by our government. They don't have to worry about feeding their kids or providing adequate medical care. They have lifetime medical coverage, and bodyguards.
Millions of suckers here and millions more on the way = we are weaker.

2. Why is Bush pushing so hard for CAFTA?
Ross Perot predicted that NAFTA would result in "a great sucking sound". He was correct. As weird as he was, I wish I had voted for him. It would have at least eased my conscience. I have not noticed a worthy candidate for President from a major party since Reagan. Anyway, too many theories abound about why Bush's dick is so hard up on CAFTA (aka NAFTA XP), that I can't make any sense of it. I'm sorry, but one cannot live on service industry alone. Something, somewhere, must be produced and exported.
CAFTA passed and continued exportation of industry = we are weaker.

3. Why has Bush not beaten the "insurgency" in Iraq?
The battle could be won in less than 2 months, yet it has dragged on for years. It's simply a matter of who is willing to be the most ruthless. Warn Al-Qaeda that for every beheading, we will dispose of 10 prisoners. For every bombing, multiply the number of innocents killed by 5 to get the number of prisoners liquidated. For every propaganda tape aired by Al-jazeera, a radio station will be turned into a crater. Currently we do nothing but spent excessive amounts of money and lives to maintain a stalemate. My proposed tactics can certainly be criticized, but it cannot be argued that small adjustments in strategy would be sufficient to turn the tide.
Money spent and the lives of quality Americans (soldiers) lost = we are weaker.

4. Why did Bush open the Strategic Oil Researves?
That didn't stop the governor of the Commi-wealth of Virginia from trying to raise gas taxes. What about gas taxes in other states? Fuel is not getting any cheaper today.
The researves are lower = we are weaker.

5. Why would Bush agree to rebuild a flood ensured New Orleans mere 3 ft higher?
The new levies wouldn't be ready till 2010 (that means 2015 or 2020 in civil engineering years). In the meantime, us taxpayers incur the cost risk. Congress and Bush don't care... they are already independently wealthy. How many cities full of tax payers does it take to support the single city of New Orleans? Oh, that's right, it doesn't matter... our children can pay for it after we retire.
Money spent and unnecessary risk incurred = we are weaker.

6. Why did Bush push so hard to create a Medicare Prescription program?
The concept of socialism is like an unstable reaction. Often, programs are started by well-meaning people, who then expect everyone but themselves to foot the bill (at IRS gunpoint no less). When I see smiling seniors, I am reminded that they know - that I am there to pay for their lifetime of career mistakes.
Money spent = we are weaker.

7. Why did Bush push for "tax cuts" that expire?
How many of his drinking buddies are currently nearing retirement age, when their superior experience usually equates to maximal annual income? There is certainly no need for tax cuts to remain in place any longer than necessary.
Money not saved = greater reliance on unreliable government = we are weaker

I could go further, but why wear out my made-in-Thailand keyboard? The replacement is already in-route (figuratively) from China. Damn... just finished my last Samuel Adams - White Ale.

It seems that Bush, and so many other politicians have figured out that they can make themselves stronger merely by making those who surround them weaker. It is the path of least resistance. Do those in power really think that they can rise above the tidal wave of suffering which will engulf us in the coming years? I know that the power holders are not stupid. That leaves few logical reasons for the actions taken by Bush. My final conclusion is that Bush's decisions have been made in an underhanded manner and with the explicit malicious intent to accelerate the destruction of the free society.

So leftists, rejoice, for Bush is with you.

A fascinating article at USA Today discusses the reluctance of leftists--they're lovingly called 'progressives' in the artcle--to procreate and replace their numbers.

I'm going to Korea.

Seriously.

I purchased my tickets today and will be in Korea for approximately 27 days. I'll arrive in Seoul in early May and leave in early June. I've got a lot of traveling lined up within Korea. I'm going to see the DMZ, Namdaemun, all of the various City Gates, a shaman in the hills that Joshua told me about, military history museums, Korean cultural museums, Soraksan Mountain, monarchy palaces, and many, many other interesting sights.

I'll be going alone, which will be a bit intimidating, but I do have a couple of friends there. I know they can help me get about and explore Seoul. I'll have to do the heavy trekking to the countryside on my own. No worries. I'm very excited since this is my first trip to a non-Western country--and non English-speaking to boot. I hope my Pimsleur Korean CDs give me ennough elementary Korean to get around.

I've wanted to go to Korea ever since I discovered Korean food during my years living in Atlanta. That was six years ago. I fell in love with the food and became quite interested in Koreans and the Koreas--particularly the atrocious North. Now, I don't mean to say I like the North. Hardly. In fact, my miniscule readership knows of my true and deep hatred of the North Korean government. I don't plan on accomplishing anything in Korea except securing friendships, enjoying myself, and experiencing a unique Asian culture.

In a fleeting fit of clarity Tennessee has stopped issuing driving certificates to illegal immigrants. Instead, people who want a driving certificate must prove they are in our country legally. I find it amazing a government, whose purpose is to uphold the law, would grant identity documents to criminals rather than issuing subpoenas and fines to said criminals. I'm glad this procedure has been stopped. Criminality should never be rewarded or excused.

I know my co-blogger, Will, will agree with me: El Presidente Bush is no conservative. He is in fact a socialist hell-bent on using government for "compassionate consersative" means. El Presidente's compassionate conservatism can best be described as: Using tax money confiscated from hard-working Americans to pay for lazy asses suckling on the teat of FEMA, unbelieveable expansion of Medicare drug plans, wholesale dumping of money into the sinkhole that is government schools, complete unenforcement of our sovereign borders from invaders to our south and north, and even curtailment of everyone's First Amendment rights with campaign finance reform.

Bush is no conservative. Bush is no libertarian. He's not even a Reagan Democrat. As Andrew Sullivan says, he's a "Christian socialist." I couldn't agree more.

Thanks to El Presidente's unwillingness to enforce our border Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (a Democrat!!) has ordered Arizona National Guard to deploy on the AZ-Mexico border. Well done, Gov., well done. Will this be the wake-up call to El Presidente Bush? I'm not banking on it.

Recently I aquired an Iriver H10 to play Windows Media Audio and mp3 files when I'm on the go. I've only had the thing for a few days and I must say I do like the player, but it definitely has some problems. The most annoying thing is the complete inability to transfer playlists to the H10 using Windows Media Player (the only software Iriver says you can use to transfer playlists and songs). So, I did some research and found a group of H10 enthusiasts who wrote a program that properly transfers playlists to the H10. Thanks guys! Isn't the Internet the coolest?

Today I was searching for Buddha's Patio, a song by Bitstream Dream. Years ago I discovered Bitstream dream on MP3.com---when MP3.com was actually decent. Anyway, I have a 128kbps copy of Buddha's Patio and was looking to replace it with a 192kbps+ copy. I first downloaded the song in 2001--at least I think it was 2001--for free. While searching via Google I came across a Russian website, Audio Store, which did have a copy of Buddha's Patio for 10 cents! Another site, Mp3Sugar, offers 10-cent pricing as well. I did a double-take, no doubt. Can they do that?

Samizdata has spoken about another Russian company offering mp3 downloads for 12 cents. Unreal! The author of the post at Samizdata has done business with AllOfMp3 and says he's thoroughly pleased. Since these two mp3 sites are located in Russia I am very apprehensive about giving them a credit card number. But fear not! In the case of AllOfMp3, they offer payment services through PayPal. Audio Store offers payment through Webmoney and Paycash (I have no idea who they are). And both AllofMp3 and Mp3Sugar offer payment services via ChronoPay, another funds transfer service just as legit as PayPal (and is available to US customers).

Just imagine buying complete albums in high-quality 192kbps+ mp3 format for less than $1.50. No wonder the fascists at the RIAA are vying to get Congress to impose sanctions on Russia. I searched all over RIAA's site, C|Net, US Department of Justice, and various file-trading websites to determine if using Audio Store, AllOfMp3, or Mp3Sugar is illegal under US law. It is not illegal. For now, anyway.

So, stop paying 99 cents per song and start paying 10 to 12 cents per song! (Or 99 cents an album--your choice.)

"After a one-hour meeting with the National Security Council, President Chen Shui-bian announced he was ending the National Unification Council and doing away with its guidelines, which commit Taiwan to eventual unification with the mainland.

"The National Unification Council will cease to function," Chen said. "The National Unification Guidelines will cease to apply."

Today the president of Taiwan effectively gave the Communist Chinese government the finger and told them to shove the idea of unification up their collectivized Red asses. This is wonderful news for Taiwan and it reinforced their stand for independence. The US should welcome and support this move by President Chen Shui-bian---though I know the State Department will only call for restraint and more dialogue between unfree totalitarian China and free Taiwan. *Sigh*

Make no mistake, this is great news. Unfortunately it doesn't remove the menace that is China. China still thinks Taiwan is a wayward part of its political and territorial sphere. China will not give up upon its goal of reunification---at ANY cost. The Chinese attack upon Taiwan will occur after the 2008 Olympics and before 2015. I guarantee it. And we won't be fighting low-morale troops, either. We'll be up against nationalist volunteers---the most dangerous opponent there is. The war is coming.

The Truth: Republicans what competition; they want your kids to go to a BETTER school. Democrats want to maintain the power of the Teacher’s Union and no accountability tied to actual results.

Mommy will keep you safe from The Elephant (i.e. The Republicans). The Republicans are certain to trample The Poor (bedraggled man next to park bench), not to mention trample any nature that may be in its way.

This is a direct appeal to the issue of Security, not to Freedom. It doesn’t say Democrats will let you be free; free to make choices and living with the consequences of those choices. Democrats will take it upon themselves (aided by the power of the Federal Government) to make sure you are safe (and paying taxes).

The Message: your private property does not belong to you, it belongs to everybody. And to Democrats, what are the toys? The toys are your wealth that you have earned and your personal possessions. Democrats will make sure that you share those with other people. How do they make sure? By using the police power of Government to take some of your “toys” away from you and give them to other people.

Like I said… this is simply insidious.

Today I was listening to the radio and heard a commercial from Philip Morris--well, that's not exactly right...it wasn't a commercial at all. In fact it was an anti-commercial. PM was actually encouraging people to stop using their product! Yes, I am serious. Of course, PM is part of the Big Evil Tobacco cabal, but have you ever heard of a company purchasing airtime to tell you to stop using their product? Not only that, but PM offers stop smoking help on it's homepage. Wow.

Only in America. Where lawyers and frivolous lawsuits have made a company turn against itself.

Can you imagine any other industry actively campaigning for consumers to stop using their product? Of course not. It's ridiculous.

Tom Paine of Silent Running has a new podcast up and playing at Shire Network News. Click here to go to the SNN podcast and listen for yourself. I've never been a huge fan of podcasts but this guy is really good. Not to mention the ~~Aussie~~ Kiwi accent is a welcomed change from US talk radio and other podcasters. I think you'll agree with me.

Now if only we could get him to say "Oy! You walloped me turban, mate!" Now that would be painfully funny. Silent Running is hereby added to the blogroll under Australia!

As a computer science nerd and database developer, I can say that I love technology and I love data.

The problem I have is with government, not technology. With government, generalities become absolute, computers are considered perfect, and thinking is optional. People are considered guilty until proven innocent. What programmer would trust a program to determine likelihood of plagiarism? Data can be "massaged" until whatever desired result is obtained. Using means instead of averages, or taking an average of an average, are only two simple math operations, but to the statistically challenged... how does it effect the result?

Recently, an article in the Kingsport newspaper mentions how Homeland Security money was being used to blanket a neighborhood with cameras. The single published citizen opinion (that I remember reading) was agreeable because they (cameras) made her "feel safer". I was immediately revolted because she and many others are too apathetic and uncreative to solve any crime problem on their own (ever hear about "Neighborhood Watch"?). Oh, nevermind, that might require her to walk outside for 30 minutes each night in the cold dark with perhaps a flashlight and pistol? Then she might lose that government "reimbursement for Weight Watchers"... oh no!

I would agree with him completely, if only I thought our government had the spine to deal true damage to the main source of terrorism (Muslim leaders and mid-east media outlets). Until these actions are taken, I do not see how any other (defensive) actions do anything but forestall the inevitable. I wish to win, not simply survive.

Nevertheless, I would encourage anyone to read more of Dr. Sowell's articles. He writes regularly about racial and economic issues.

Yes! What a great idea. That would allow me to drive anywhere in the US, not just the southeast, and have my S&W 9mm on my belt. But I'm sure the communists and socialists (AKA DemocRats) will attempt to block this bill...after all, it's not good for their criminal constituency to have law-abiders carrying firearms.

We've got Red ChiComs moving in down South. Steven Mosher at National Review Online has written a piece documenting ChiCom growth and influence in the Caribbean.

"Chinese immigration to the region is picking up, and a cultural offensive is underway. The relationships between China and the islands' ruling parties are increasingly cozy, with leading politicians regularly being invited to China for all-expenses-paid "familiarization" tours. Those not important enough for the "foreign guest" treatment receive their dose of propaganda in their own homes. Shows touting China's history, culture, and peaceful intentions are broadcast for hours on the islands' state-owned television channels — all paid for by Beijing, of course. Let a hundred flowers boom, one might say."

It doesn't seem the ChiComs are initiating communist coups like was done in Grenada. (Not yet, anyway.) But they are using their money to leverage these Caribbean nations to break ties with free Taiwan.

"The immediate target is Taiwan, of course. By causing those few nations which still recognize the island-democracy to break off ties, Beijing hopes to undermine Taiwan's de facto independence and hasten the day of reunification — on its terms. The PRC is fighting the Chinese civil war even in the Caribbean. Look for St. Vincent and the Grenadines to break ties with Taiwan in the next year or two."

China is playing the diplomatic card with Taiwan at the moment. Much like the US attempted diplomacy with the Taliban and Iraq before invasions of both those countries. China will keep up its diplomatic turkey shoot with Taiwan's friends--picking them off one at a time until Taiwan has very few friends left (USA, Japan, Australia). Then China will launch its planned military attack upon Taiwan.

Mr. Mosher closes: "While we work to bring transparency and openness to China, we don't want China to bring corruption and deception to existing democracies and international organizations. The Caribbean can't wait."

Today I ran across the story of a young American skater named Johnny Weir who wore a Soviet jacket to the Olympics. He received it as a gift from a fellow Russian skater. Notice how he excuses away supporting a dictatorship that killed at least 30 million people:

"...it's just for fun. It's a group of people I admire. It would be the same as someone wearing a Madonna T-shirt."

Really. Just like wearing a Madonna shirt. What an outrageous statement.

Interesting how he doesn't wear a jacket with a swastika. Why isn't he wearing a jacket with the likeness of fellow communist Kim Jong Il? (Who, by the way, has perfected Soviet communism with the ideology of Juche.) Both Nazism and Juche have killed millions of people via death camps and starvation so why not "admire" them as well, Mr. Weir? Where's your "I love Mugabe" shirt? Feel free to send him comments or questions here, I have.

Too many young people across this world are indoctrinated with a mental sickness in the form of moral relativism. American students in the USA support palestinian terrorists and wish for the destruction of the US military. Academia in the UK is no different. South Korean youth actively participate in violence against Korean police and US troops that are protecting them from the horrors of the North. Do they not know what lies just above the border? Sadly, too many think the North is just a misunderstood, odd little brother.

The inability of young people to discern between right and wrong is a death sentence for decent and harmonious culture. I believe this can be tracked back to religion being forcibly removed from society. I'm not an overly religious guy by any means, but religion has given me the tools to differentiate between right and wrong, good and evil.

I recall in February of 2005 I was down in London near the US Embassy. I was wandering around burning time before my appointment at the embassy. I happened to cross a street and saw a 17-year old skater punk zipping down the road on his skateboard. His jacket was opened by the wind to reveal a red shirt with the Soviet hammer and sickle on the front. I was struck at how callous of a person he must be--or maybe he was terribly naive? Does he not know that over 30 million people were exterminated to keep those symbols on the Soviet flag?

I even recall seeing a red "CCCP" shirt on the TV network G4. I happened to flip by that network only to see one of its hosts, Adam Sessler, proudly wearing the red shirt of death. I have yet to watch that network again.

To admire a system of government that enslaves people and butchers them in Siberian death camps is nothing less than a severe mental sickness. It's sad we have people like Johnny Weir representing the USA to the world. I suppose that's a price our free society must pay. Our freedoms grant you the option to use common sense and good judgement or to be just plain sick and twisted.

Ken Livingstone laments in an interview with Panorama that the ant has got rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share".

In response, the Labour Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper Anti-Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant's taxes are reassessed, and he is also fined for failing to hire grasshoppers as helpers.

Without enough money to pay the fine and his newly imposed retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by Camden Council.

The ant moves to France, and starts a successful agribiz company [funded by the EU].

The BBC later shows the now fat grasshopper finishing up the last of the ant's food, though Spring is still months away, while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain it.

Inadequate government funding is blamed, Diane Abbot is appointed to head a commission of enquiry that will cost £10m.

The grasshopper is soon dead of a drug overdose and the Guardian blames it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity.

The abandoned house is taken over by a gang of immigrant spiders, praised by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity, who promptly set up a marijuana growing operations and terrorize the community.

A tax refund should make you angry, not happy.

Every year millions of Americans eagerly await their "refund" from the socialists of Washington, D.C. Yet, what these tax-paying Americans do not realize is that their money was held hostage and the socialists are only releasing the money back to the rightful owner--and not giving a tax credit. Let's use me as an example. I am receiving $914 in a "refund" for tax year 2005. I am very angry about this...but why?

The reason is this: My money was confiscated by the federal government on each and every paycheck I received. This was my money was taken from me without my consent. On top of that, my stolen money was not placed in an interest-gathering account so that I could receive compensation--in a small way--from the confiscation of my money. Is money not considered private property?

A refund is simply an admission by the Income Raping Service that you caught them red-handed stealing an unfair share of your income. They give you no compensation in the form of interest like private banks do when you voluntarily give them a specified amount of your money in the form of a Certificate of Deposit. Your money in CDs make you money. Your money held hostage by the government makes no one money.

So, this year, go down to your payroll office and instruct them to claim as many exemptions as possible on your W-2 form. That way you'll receive most of the money you earn on every paycheck (minus Social Insecurity and payment for seasoned citizens' healthcare). Exemptions prevent your money being held hostage without just compensation by the IRS. Use that extra money you get from each paycheck to invest in a CD, mutual fund, money market account, individual stock, or even the lowly savings account. A CD or savings account will guarantee you more money than you started with...so do that, at least! Then, when the Left's favorite day (April 15, this year) comes around you can pay your "fair share" (and you will definitely owe tax) all the while knowing you'll come out of it with a surplus because you were smart and used your money to fatten your wallet, purse, or even man-purse--for the limp-wristed "men" out there.

Don't let the IRS take your money hostage. Keep your money for yourself and plan on paying taxes on April 15. Refunds should be a source of sincere sadness, not happiness.

Better be careful about the exemptions you take. The feds can come to your employer and they will have to prove that you are entitled to those exemptions. If they can't then they can be held liable to fines for underwithholding from you. It happened to a company I worked for when a couple of us had them take 9 exemptions so we could keep more of our money. The company was fined for this and we ended up in hot water. It can get really tricky out there. The IRS has a lot of power in these cases.

Yikes. So, follow my advice at your peril, it would seem.

Vandalism! Last Saturday someone sprayed white paint along the side of my car while it was parked at the Fort Henry mall. This was almost certainly the act of a young and inexperienced liberal. The combination of Black Magic on my tires, the gloss of a freshly washed body the color of a golden tanned Brazilian, the intimidating tinted windows, and the NRA sticker must have been too much to bear. My assessment of "young and inexperienced" is due to the vandal’s use of a cheap water based spray paint (instead of oil based paint or a key). It readily came off when faced with hot water, soap, and a little elbow grease.

My Springfield XD is toting an alternating mixture of Federal JHP and Fang Face anti-terrorist rounds. Yes, they’d better run.

A Cold Frothy Raised to all Patriots

While preparing this first post, a Sam Adams White Ale is slowly and respectfully emptied. The label on the bottle is amazingly honest: "White Ale is unfiltered, which gives this brew its spicy character, its intentional cloudiness, and its almost chewy mouthfeel." Another superb brew from Samuel Adams! Although not my favorite, this brew has an interesting and sophisticated flavor. I would recommend this only to those who enjoy a drink whose thickness rivals Guinness.

My preference usually leans towards the darker brews like Guinness and the Sam Adams Winter Lager (if you can find this one, it beats a Beck’s Dark like hard work on a liberal). However, Killian’s Irish Red is another good choice for rare days.

With school cranking up for me yet again, I'm experiencing a blogger's block akin to a writer's block. In my spare time I've been reading a lot in various magazines I receive: The Weekly Standard and America's First Freedom. I've also read and completed Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader : North Korea and the Kim Dynasty. It's a truly enlightening book on North Korea, I can't recommend it enough. Currently I am reading Tammy Bruce's The Death of Right and Wrong and after that I'll tackle Rogue Regime: Kim Jong Il and the Looming Threat of North Korea. I'm anxiously awaiting German physician Norbert Vollertsen's Inside North Korea. Soon I hope to have a post cataloging as many of the videos concerning North Korea as I can find. I'm in the process of drafting the post now.

I'm taking 19 credit hours at school, so I'm sure I'll be busy as anything with homework, projects, and tests. Whew. Hopefully, my co-blogger, Will, can pick up the pace of this site soon. Heh! Though he is at least as busy as I am.

Blanket gun bans work, don't they Leftists! Gun bans always work against those who follow the law. Criminals, by their very definition, do not follow the law. Thus, criminals are armed. Is this really a surprise?

I wonder if D.C. will ban those pistols a second time? I mean, since the first banned worked on law-abiders, maybe in twisted Leftist logic a second ban will work on criminals this time around.

But gun bans aren't meant to target criminals. Bans are meant to target law-abiders. After all, according to Leftist logic, a law-abider is just as dangerous, if not more so, than a criminal.

Self-defense is a huge issue with me. It's reckless and simply suicidal to depend only on the police to protect society. Sure, they do a lot for us, but they can't be everywhere at every moment. I mean, we aren't a police state yet, thankfully. Instead, our government so generously "allows" us to be armed and protect ourselves. Though the Second Amendment has been eviscerated over the past 100 years, many gun-owners, gun-rights organizations, constitutionalists, and even politicians are fighting back against the Left's attempted complete dismantling of the Second Amendment—and we freedom-lovers are winning.

The past ten years many states have been revising their laws that had been infringing on the Second Amendment. Other states have implemented handgun carry laws that allow law-abiding citizens access to a right the US Constitution preserved: the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. [Emphasis mine. -Rob] I currently take advantage of this legislated "right" to bear arms: I have a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit. It infuriates me that I (and other law-abiding citizens) must request permission from the State to exercise a right preserved, not granted, by the Second Amendment. But, I am a law-abiding citizen, so I must go by the law when dealing with firearms. Unfortunately for the rest of society, criminals by their very definition disregard these laws.

Texas is a state that has gun-friendly and self-defense-friendly laws to give benefit of the doubt to its citizens rather than criminals. The Honorable Jerry Patterson has written an essay describing crime statistics since Texas implemented the Texas Concealed Handgun Law of 1996. Ten years later, Peterson notes:

"Texas under the Concealed Handgun Law isn’t the Wild West, but the Mild West. No recurrent shootouts at four-way stops, no blood in the streets. Quite the contrary, Texans are safer than before."

Really? But how can this be? What happened to those predicted (and hoped for) shootouts? Where's the rivers of blood? This reminds me of the sunset of the 1996 Clinton "Assault" Gun Ban. Leftists were screaming hysterically the streets would be running with blood because of "assault" weapons being dumped into the market. Of course, the streets did not run with blood—the Left was wrong, again. Patterson continues:

"Since the passage of the Concealed Handgun Law, the FBI Uniform Crime Report shows an 18% drop in handgun murders, down from 838 in 1995 to 688 in 2004. And a 13% drop in handgun murders per 100,000 population, down from 4.5 murders per 100,000 Texans in 1995 to 3.95 per 100,000 in 2004."

Ouch, things are not looking good for the hysterical Left. Damned statistics. Patterson even notes anti-gun attorneys coming to terms with the truth that gun-friendly laws work:

"John Holmes, former Harris County district attorney, wrote to me several years after the passage of the law.

"As you know, I was very outspoken in my opposition to the passage of the Concealed Handgun Act. I did not feel that such legislation was in the public interest and presented a clear and present danger to law abiding citizens by placing more handguns on our streets," Holmes wrote. "Boy was I wrong. Our experience in Harris County , and indeed state-wide, has proven my initial fears absolutely groundless."

Thank you, Mr. Gun-grabbing Leftist, thank you. Carrie X., a commenter at Patterson's essay says: "I am a 49-year-old woman who carries a handgun. It is fully permitted. When this law was passed I couldn't have been more opposed. I voted to re-elect Anne Richards because of this.

Then one day I was driving my husband's car and was sitting alone at a stop light when a man attempted to enter the passenger door. I don't know if he was armed but I was scared out of my wits.

My husband's car had a gun beneath the drivers seat. I suddenly remembered it was there and reached for it. It too maybe a second to get. All it took was for the guy to see the gun and he was running. I signed up for a handgun course the next week." Good for you, Carrie, and I'm glad you're safe and carrying now. Thus proves my theory criminals don't fear more gun laws, nay, instead they fear staring into an infinitely black gun barrel wielded by a law-abiding citizen.

North Korean slavery in the Czech Republic.

Boy am I confused, I thought all slavery in the entire world was only in the American South. Oh well, I must have been taught wrong, because here we have modern-day slavery sanctioned by the North Korean government. This should be no surprise to the NK-watchers that Nork Nation exports slavery (as they do in the Russian logging towns), it's just that North Korean slavery is not widely known to exist in the Western world. Although, "North Korea has sent workers to Russia, Libya, Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia and Angola, in addition to the Czech Republic, defectors say." Tragic.

"I'm not so happy here. There is nobody who speaks my language. I'm so far from home," volunteered a tentative young woman in a T-shirt and sweatpants who said she was from Pyongyang, the North Korean capital.

But as she spoke, an older woman with stern posture and an expressionless face — a North Korean security official — passed by in the corridor. The young women scattered wordlessly and disappeared into another room, closing and bolting the door behind them.

A few months ago I ran across the very informative site Feministing.org. There I learned that "Young, middle-class, college-educated white women are rarely given the opportunity to speak on our own behalf on issues that affect our lives and futures because we're so horribly and obviously oppressed."

It asserts that "women are never sexist. So there." Really, I had no idea! How can this be? So I decided to delve deeper and find out what these oppressed, non-sexist, white females were not allowed to say. What I found would completely turn my view of feminism around by 180 degrees (minus 180).

I did not know that global warming "hits women the hardest." Who new? Thanks to Feministing, now we all do! Not only does Feministing inform us about the horrors of global warming, they also state the fact that 4 out of every 1 womyn will, at sometime in their lives, be a victim of rapeseed. Yes, rapeseed. 4 out of 1, can you imagine the odds? That's, like, one googol out of pi! The mind boggles at the potential terror of rapeseed.

Meanwhile, while men are constantly abusing and raping poor, innocent women, Feministing makes sure we understand that women are never violent. Not ever. Thanks, Feministing. You are being added to the blogroll as an invaluable source to us oppressive males. Truly, I had no idea I was so awful and that wimmin's lives were so terrible.

After all, we evil males are living and perpetuating a "culture of rape", right? It's time all we males who have raped, are raping, or who might rape in the future (read: probably will) pay attention to feminists who know so much more than we do. Because really, shouldn't all womyn be able to decide what to do with their own body? Of course!

Ouch, now that's a painfully true cartoon. At least in America we used to have protections against eminent domain, but thanks to a radically leftist US Supreme Communist Court, the state was granted to take away private citizens' land, just like the ChiComs do against their citizenry. Timur-I-Leng, a very good source of analysis on the latest Chinese crackdowns, says "Property rights, not income inequality, is at the heart of the Dongzhou protests." This flies in the face of typical leftist drivel that the protests are about income levels. Or even about environmental concerns?! Hahaha. Right. Nick agrees with Zhang Fei: "If you look at the numbers, China is one of the most equal countries when it comes to income equality. This is only because the vast majority of the people are poor." Silly leftists, it's always about inequalities and the ideology of victimisation with them.

Gateway Pundit has loads and loads of information about the Dongzhou massacres including videos and pictures showing villagers begging Chinese forces to stop their attack. A commenter makes an astute observation: "Take the total number of Chinese killed by the Chinese Communist Party (Approximately 75 million), and divide it by the number of days that the CCP has been in power (20470), and you can see that, on December 6, 2005, the Chinese government would have had to kill another 3,643 just to maintain their daily average." Ahhh, communism, isn't it so sweet and seductive?

On a side note, I find it interesting two of the major leftist sites out there (Kos and Atrios) nary made a peep against their ChiCom friends and the crack downs on defenseless villagers.

Zhang Fei notes in a comment on One Free Korea that "the party has the guns and the villagers don't." Hmm, and the left wonders why the right in America flies into fits of hysteria when more gun-grab laws are passed in Congress and state legislatures. Asian Security blog alerts us to some photos of rare appearances by Dear Leader KJI and a photo of some North Korean military gals. They look healthy, I suppose, skinny to say the least, but not deathly malnourished as we've seen before. But get a load of the medals on those generals! I guess that's their rank, they look like they could topple over at any moment with all that weight! Talk about inflating awards...

But what really caught my eye was a link to a story about North Korean soldiers, who have defected from Nork Nation, starting up The Association of Free North Korean Soldiers. There's talk from them about starting their own type of "insurgency" against the Nork regime: "This is not word play, but a last warning ahead of action," Lim said.

In a press release, the group said it plans to forge links with the North Korean military. Lim said the group planned to carry out "direct activities" in relation to North Korean border guards, though he provided no details.

Amazing. That's an excellent way to open up North Korea and topple the dictatorship. The only way the regime can fall is if the military drops its allegiance to KJI. Without the military KJI is just a pot-bellied goon. Daily NK has more on Lim and his Association of Free North Korean Soldiers.

It seems that the US military and ChiCom military will soon be cooperating on some basis. Possibly even exchange programs. (ie. Training ChiCom military personnel at our facilities and training US military personnel at ChiCom facilities.) It's time to talk about a Timetable of Unenforcement. We need to stop enforcing our laws, to put it simply. Too many people have found themselves victim to inhumane standards of morality. Our laws are imposing social will upon certain people in our society. If only we'd stop enforcing these rules criminals would surely stop breaking them and acting out in violent manners. After all, we know that more laws create more criminals. Presence of our laws creates more violent opposition by segments of our population. The less laws we have the less criminals will become victim to our legal imperialism. We shouldn't judge the criminals' culture, nor should be import our culture into theirs.

I call upon George W. Bush to submit a Timetable of Unenforcement immediately. Too many criminals are losing their lives in an unjust judicial system.

CO Representative Tom Tancredo is putting forth a bill in the House that would revoke automatic birthright citizenship. According to the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution if you're born on US soil you automatically become a citizen. Hmm, eve wonder why so many thousands of pregnant women illegally enter the US from China, Mexico, and even Korea? The answer is simple: Automatic US citizenship for their spawn.

Automatic birthright citizenship should be ended immediately. Millions of Americans have gone through the proper immigration channels to come to the US. They waiting their time and applied to become US citizens. They followed the law. Yet, we reward illegal mother's children with citizenship right off? Just so the mother, her husband (if she has one), and immediate family members can come to the US to suck off the taxpayer's teat?

Today I was at an interview session at a local UPS office. They're looking to hire people to help out the drivers delivering packages for the upcoming busy Christmas (oh dear, I said it, didn't I?) season. The job description is easy, pay is decent ($10.50/hr), and the hours are good for me since I'm in school full time. A part of the interview process requires an applicant to fill out some forms on a computer. The forms deal with employment status, education status, W-4 information, military experience, sexual harassment, violence in the workplace, drugs and alcohol...you know, the standard stuff you have to wade through to get a job in the USSA.

So I get to the military status form and it asks me if I was in the military. That's easy, Yes. Hmm, the drop-down box says "Vietnam Vet" or "Other Protected Group" or "None of the Above." Below is a field to indicate the date of discharge. I ask the interviewer if "Other Protected Group" is what I should choose. She quickly says no, that I am not in a protected group. I proceed to ask what a protected group is. She answers that protected groups are women, minorities, Vietnam Vets(!!), and other groups. Of course, translating from Affirmative Action-speak, this means "white males who aren't Vietnam Vets are not protected." It's all part of UPS's adherence to the racist and sexist hiring process stealthily called Affirmative Action.

Affirmative Action does nothing more than make white males a second-class applicant.

Don't be misled by my negativity on this situation. The UPS interviewer was very professional and courteous throughout the whole process. UPS will be having a training session next Tuesday and if I receive a call from the interviewer later this week instucting me to attend, then it means I got the job. I hope I get the job; I want to work. I am confident I will be hired. I can't sit around being lonely this Christmas season.

This whole ordeal has really poisoned my outlook on employment―not just at UPS, but within the USSA as a whole. Any time I see a woman, minority, or Vietnam Vet at my place of employment I'll have to wonder: Did you get here because of your sex, skin color, (and now!) Vietnam Vet status?

Finally, I guess there is some justice for us evil, oppressive, white males. Evil white male Vietnam Vets are getting a leg-up because of Affirmative Action at some businesses these days. I'm sure this really chaps some Ass. Amazing, don't you think? The most hated group in the liberal world (white males who fought in a failed war) are now receiving special treatment alongside women and minorities.

Somewhere, Jane Fonda is cutting herself.

While much of the media attention is given to the "insurgents" in Iraq/Afghanistan, a small battle has been ongoing (without much media coverage) in Southern Thailand, an area that borders Malaysia. Here we have Muslims (surprise!) again who can't get along with their neighbors (Buddhists) and proceed to bomb, shoot, and decapitate Buddhists—you know, because Islam is so peaceful and everything.

Well, because of the peace actions by Thai (and Malaysian) Muslims in the South, some districts are imposing martial law. That's pretty major when you think about it. A free, democratic nation imposing martial law? That doesn't happen much these days. It didn't happen in New Orleans recently...when was the last time martial law declared in the US?

Not surprisingly, other districts in Southern Thailand have been under martial law since January 2004. (As far as I can tell.) So, keep your eyes and ears on Thailand.

North Korea Demands Aid Before Disarmament

Really? Nork Nation makes more demands? More blackmailing? More appeasement by the US and Japan? (I don't mention Communist China, pro-NK South Korea, or sliding-into-dictatorship Russia as none are on "our side") I am soooo taken back by the demands Nork Nation placed upon the US for concessions. Who ever thought this would happen again...it's so disappointing.

This certainly calls for more dialogue. Yes, that's what we need. Dialogue and inspections. And more failed dialogue. We can reason with insane dictators that starve their citizenry, test chemical weapons on their political prisoners, stomp newborn babies to death on cold concrete, and perform public executions. Yes, we can deal with these people. They just need to be engaged on the issues.

Maybe we should send them another nuclear reactor for "power production" again? Seemed to work splendidly last time.

And they actually wonder why we call them irrational? Celebrating the deaths of honorable US soldiers, airmen, marines, sailors, and Coast Guards is an acceptable activity to them. This is why liberals should be considered the same as Islamofascists...and should be rounded up and killed.

I can't remember when I first heard about this, but I always thought it was the product of some kind of hysteria. Well, it wasn't, the story is true.

"A case brought by parents and children challenging a California school district for its practice of teaching 12-year-old students to "become Muslims" will be heard in U.S. appeals court today.

As WND reported, the lawsuit was filed by the Thomas More Law Center against the Byron Union School District and various school officials to stop the "Islam simulation" materials and methods used in the Excelsior Elementary School in Byron, Calif."

After all, it's very judgemental to call someone a terrorist and we all know every culture is different, yet still equal.

Officials in Canyon County, Idaho (search), say that illegal immigrants are costing their county millions of dollars in medical and welfare benefits — millions of dollars the county wants back from agricultural companies, officials say, that knowingly employed undocumented workers.

In an unprecedented move, Canyon County is suing several local businesses under the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act.

"It's an organized, orchestrated invasion, economic invasion of the United States," said Canyon County commissioner Robert Vasquez. “They're costing the county money in medical indigency welfare cases, and also in crime and other statistical data that we've compiled"

Expanding upon my earlier post Good ol' China doing what commies do best, we learn that the woman who was the subject of that article is just another victim in a massive campaign of forced abortions and sterilizations.

At least 7,000 people in eastern China were forcibly sterilized earlier this year by officials under pressure to limit the growth of the country's massive population, Time magazine reported in an edition published yesterday.

Quoting lawyers who spoke to local family-planning officials, the magazine said that between March and July, 7,000 people underwent forced abortions and sterilizations in Yinan County, Shandong Province.

A Chinese cosmetics company is using skin harvested from the corpses of executed convicts to develop beauty products for sale in Europe, an investigation by the Guardian has discovered.

Agents for the firm have told would-be customers it is developing collagen for lip and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners after they have been shot. The agents say some of the company's products have been exported to the UK, and that the use of skin from condemned convicts is "traditional" and nothing to "make such a big fuss about".
